I work mainly in Acrylics which allows a range of surfaces from a smooth watercolour style to thick impasto that might even include some collage. Images emerge from materials and processes – something beyond words that speaks through the senses- so that the painting holds its own history of layers and marks. Colour evokes temperature and feeling and is often intense, demanding space for best viewing.
